Wedding Speech Jokes – Create Your Speech Easily

As the panic set in about making my speech I scoured around for wedding speech jokes. Time just kept on ticking and I was no further to having the perfect best man wedding speech.  There are literally thousands of wedding speech jokes on the internet but I wasted a huge amount of time and just became overwhelmed with information. The more I read the more I became worried about making my best man’s wedding speech and especially what wedding speech jokes I would use.

I seemed to be suffering from that “rabbit in the headlights” moment. :-? You know where you have so much you could say that you just don’t know where to start or how to begin.

I was realy worried about my wedding speech but that’s when I found an amazing little book that took me by the hand through appropriate jokes and how to adapt them. Finally, I could see the light at the end of the tunnel! It was written by professional stand up comedians and gave me loads of material and hints and tips on how to deliver my wedding speech jokes. The Secret to Using Wedding Speech Jokes

I knew I wanted to deliver a memorable best man wedding speech. I knew that I wanted to deliver a funny wedding speech. But I didn’t want to sound like a stand up comedian! Or in my case comedienne! I’m sure [unless your career is that of comedian] you don’t want to stand up and deliver joke after joke either. The use of wedding speech jokes needs to be used appropriately. Your wedding speech should be meaningful and touching to the two most important people there – the bride and groom!

So the real secret to using wedding speech jokes is to use them appropriately.

The use of jokes in my own best man wedding speech really helped to make sure the audience kept listening. I used jokes to grab attention but made sure they were focused and appropriate to what I was saying.

In my experience the best way to use wedding speech jokes is to scatter your speech with a few good jokes. Say meaningful things, then add a little comedy to keep everyone relaxed. I was very nervous so using jokes also helped me to relax too!

Most people are really nervous when making a wedding speech but do try to make eye contact with the audience. If you find this makes you more nervous try to focus your gaze just over the top of the head of the people nearest to you. You will appear to be looking at people without actually looking. Try to practice this before the big day.

Most of us want to create a funny wedding speech and these tips should start you off on the right foot. Remember sometimes less is more and using wedding speech jokes needs to be done appropriately.

Best Man’s Wedding Speech – why me???

I must admit that the initial flattery of being invited to be best man for my best friend [and also the shock that he'd asked me as I am FEMALE??? - go figure???] I started to feel very apprehensive about my best man wedding speech.

I have to admit that I’m not the first in the queue to be up there in front of hundreds of people all sitting there with the expectation that I’m going to amuse them!!! You may be feeling the same. I’m the type of person who forgets the punch line of a joke right at the moment of delivery. So the idea of delivering wedding speech jokes was filling me with dread. But if you’ve accepted or you have to make a speech at a wedding – whether it is a groom’s wedding speech, speech for the father of the bride, a bride’s speech or maid of honours speech – you may be feeling more than apprehensive. Well you are not alone!

I looked all over the internet for funny wedding speech jokes and spent hours and hours and hours trying to find jokes that would fit with my overall best man wedding speech.

Wedding Speeches – steal them!

There is so much information about writing wedding speeches available on the internet and via Google – indeed I’ve included some examples I found here on the site. You could while away hours watching how others have delivered their wedding speech! I know I did when I was writing my best man wedding speech. You may find some of the information useful or you could end up feeling even more overwhelmed than you did at the beginning!

Public speaking is one of the most feared things to do but with research and planning you can deliver a great wedding speech including the delivery of wedding speech jokes – even if you have never told a joke in public before. But the best place to start is to write SOMETHING down. You can always change or add to it later. Here are some starter tips:

Add in jokes that are not aimed directly at a person in the room or direct them at yourself.

I haven’t spoken to my wife in 18 months – I don’t like to interrupt her.

Wedding Speech Jokes – Help!!

I’d been asked to make a best man wedding speech and didn’t know where to start. I knew I want to include some wedding speech jokes but I wasn’t sure what to say! I knew the groom’s wedding speech was going to be really funny and touching but how could I make my best man’s wedding speech both humorous and charming?

 I worried about making my best man wedding speech. I worried about standing up in front of all those people. I worried about making a fool of myself. I worried about letting my best friend down. I worried about letting myself down. I mean how hard can it be to write a best man wedding speech? I was to find out that it was VERY hard!

 I searched online for “best man speech examples” but nothing seemed to target what I was trying to achieve. I searched for “wedding speech jokes” but they simply weren’t appropriate for who was going to be at this wedding.  I can’t tell you how many times I re-wrote my best man wedding speech and every time I looked at it, or tested it on my family, I knew I still hadn’t got it right.

I tried to remember funny stories from our past but in some way they seemed to be insulting/shocking to one of the guests that would be there. And that wasn’t my intention. I wanted to deliver a funny wedding speech that wouldn’t make anyone feel bad – after all my best friends were getting married and this was a day to be celebrated.
